1. HDMI sound problems: not fixed. sound drops occur (at least) in the following setup:
Blu-ray(Panasonic) OR Satellite Receiver(Technisat) - HDMI - 42PFL7696K02 - Toslink - PioneerAVR
Obviously the Philips TV does not pass through HDMI sound signals properly.
2. HDMI-CEC: Technisat can control the Philips but not vice versa. It would be nice, if the Philips could switch the channels at least.

favourite presets (star) lost
When I mark my analogue presets from 1 to 30 as favourites, then after a while (1 or 2 days), the favourites mark (star) is gone. Other favourites (digital presets 101 to 110) are preserved. When using the TV, I always display the list of the favourites.
This is also a problem in the previous firmware.

I'm wondering what the difference between the 6606K and T is. I don't experience any sound drop issues anymore since my 52PFL5605H was replaced with a 55PFL6606K/02.

Hi,
T models have a DVB-T2 tuner, K models have DVB-S(2) tuner integrated...

There's obviously a difference between 6xx6K and 6xx6T/7xx6H/K/M/T series or why are there two different firmware threads?

Hi,
there shouldn't be two threads...
At the beginning of the 2011 TV series the TVs had different firmware software versions. But in the meantime they all have the same...
At the moment
- firmware 10.105 for 6xx6 and 7xx6 models (H,K,M,T)
- firmware 14.38.6 for 8xx6 and 9xx6 and 21:9 models (H,K,M,T)

AC3 sound drops TV over HDMI to receiver
Hi,
Posted this also in thread of an older firmware. The problems as reported here are with the 0.10.105.0 FW.
I am experiencing many sound drops when using TV audio over HDMI ARC to a Marantz SR7005. Similar issues are reported many times before. It looks like it is solved for the xxx5 2010 line by a FW upgrade in april. So why do I have to sound drops on my new 42PDL7906?
Some additional information:
Sound drop occurs on DVB-C channels having audio in AC-3. (The ZIGGO HD channels mostly)
Sound drops do not occur (at least not observed) on DVB-C channels having audio in MPEG-1 layer2 (mp2) (The ZIGGO SD channels)
frequency of drops on HD channels is around 1 drop per 1-3 seconds.
No drops when audio is routed to the TV speakers.
Philips: Please get this solved in FW asap or give me any other advice to get this sorted out.
PS: Also the HDMI switching - no sound (or often distorted sound) problem bugs me!

- No 3D support over Ethernet / USB (Why is there a limitation?!)
- No DTS support
- Why isn't it possible to teach the TV SMB? I don't like Media Servers
- Port 49153? There's a Webserver returning 404 errors?
- What is the function of the blue key on the remote?
