The Specialist on BDP 7500
Hello,
I'm encountering problems when trying to playback "The Specialist Blu Ray" on my BDP 7500 player. The player quits with the message "unrecognized disc". I'm not sure whether this issue i caused by the player or the disc itself. Maybe somebody else has the same problem or can tell me that this disc should play correctly?
Thanks!

Hi,
please state the exact BDP model and the firmware version. Check if you have install the latest firmware (see web site!). And please post the bar code of that Blu-ray (printed on the cover).
Does the message also appear with other Blu-rays?

I tried already the new Firmware version 1.12 with the same result, the blu ray is not recognized. Has the support tried to play this disc already?
Thanks!
P.S. this error occures only with this BD, all other discs (I have more than 300) are working fine.

Hi
normally when there s a disc playability issue, they 'll ask:
1) are your device connected to the internet?
2) if yes, can you try resetting your device to remove network settings? If the network settings are still stored in your device,it will still try to connect and will result to loading issues?

oh yes, you are right.

am not sure if that's some translated difference, this seems to be the "unknown disc" error... (likely a loader prob issue)
anyways, i think they can order the disc and test it later as i can see this is the common way they handle these disc issues...

I've tested the blu ray disc on another player (Playstation 3) and it works great, so I guess its in deed a firmware issue on the BDP 7500sl or my player is simply damaged.

Same film The Specialist on USA bluray is region Free and so far with region free discs they’ve all played. I have The Specialist on region 2 DVD and don’t plan to buy it again the well maybe the region 1 ntsc version unless the price for the region free is incredibly low price.
