How or where do i get codecs to play movies on my TV

I have a Philips TV Model: 47PFL3605H/12
Serial no: RJ1A1047039554 which is not supported with the codecs for movie files any help in fixing this.

The supported file types for the Philips 3000 Series are:
[ *.jpg ] and [ *.mp3 ]. Its not possible to use other file types because the required codecs for movie files are not included at the Philips 47PFL3605H/12
How do I fix this...any help would be much appreciated, thanks Gerryg

Hi GerryG,

the Codecs are within the Firmware and sure it would be easy to just "install" them but! there also Chips inside the TV which made the decoding.
So as you can not "install" new chips it is not possible to install new Codecs to the TV.

Regards
Thomas
