Net TV only 3 apps in 46PFL7705D/F7 ??

first, sorry for my English.

I´m live in Mexico, the last weekend,i buy a 46PFL7705D/F7, i expected from Net TV, i´ve connected TV to my router and tested, all right.
But i was worried because only three apps found it on Net TV: Netflix, vTuner and Twitter. Netflix say me that for this time, the device does not support streaming, but vTuner (radio) and Twitter works fine.


I called to customer services in México, and asked why only three apps, where i can install more apps... and just tell me that upgrade "the software" :-)
Ok, fine, from TV Menu click setup - software update- updates - network... and display: Current software in your TV is a newer version". :-(

So, i download the driver from philips support homepage, plug usb...... and TV display: Current software in your TV is a newer version. :-(

Ok, i understand, i´ve the newer version.. and customer services just tell me that "install software".

Please, i need help !

Hi,

1.) Which SW is installed at your TV?
2.) Did you have a look in the AppGallery at your NetTV-Home.
3.) Perhaps you need to select a different country or international at the AppGallery.

Yo tambien tengo los mismos problemas, solo tres iconos y no puede conectarse a netflix sino solo por el play3, es triste que el app sea tan limitado y pobre, en donde uno puede actualizar el navegador?...

There's no way to change the country unfortunately because these tv's are not made by PHILIPS. *As I have found out PHILIPS signed a brand licensing agreement with Funai Corp to manufacture and sell TVs for PHILIPS and Magnavox. *It's sad really I have been buying only PHILIPS TVs since the 70's and I feel I got shafted after buying this one. *I have a 40PFL7705D/F7 and bought this TV because the website said it had a rich selection of APPs and showed many listed in the picture. *Well 3 isn't a rich selection!!! *I contacted customer service and was told that no more APPs would be added because they don't know how to add new APPs, which is ridiculous. *I asked to speak to a manager and he confirmed what the other agent told me was correct. *I said the newer TVs have come with Facebook, YouTube, etc so why can't this TV get those APPs? *I was told that if I wanted those APPs I would have to buy the TV that came with them. *I currently have about 7 PHILIPS /Magnavox TVs and sadly this will be my last. * *

I dont think you are right sir. Funai is japanese not chinese. PLease next time do not talk when you are not sure.

LG samsung sony and all other TVs are made in china. But we all know Japanese electronics are better than chinese!
And PHILIPS still have the best screen/picture specifications and performance.
Only if they fix their firmware and software/net tv things this TV will be the best!

Actually I am right...everything I said is correct. I never said Funai was Chinese, so not sure where you got that from. I don't know where you live but in North America Funai makes PHILIPS TVs (P&F Inc) and support is not good.
