Freezing after software upgrade
Hi, I'm new to this forum and hope someone can help. I've bought my BDP800 / 78 today and proceeded with the wifi configuration and the software update following the screen instructions. After the upgrade the screen was frozen. In order to fix it I unplugged the AC power, waited a few seconds and turned it back on for no use, the screen remained frozen (the blue screen with PHILIPS on it) no button on the remote works, only the on/off. I looked in the Philips site and found in the "upgrade procedure" under the "software and drivers" tab that before the upgrade I there could be NO DISC in the tray. The problem is: there was a disc in the tray and I guess that was it that caused the trouble. The standard manual that comes with the player doesn't warn about that. I would like to know if there is a way to reset the player in order to get it working again. Thanks in advance.
as far as I know you need to repair your BDP now... there is no way to reset the BDP...
