HTS 9140 : Can't play some movies from USB and DLNA connection.

    Hi,

I brought Language issue from DLNA connection and i would like to bring one more issue on some movies can't play from USB as well as DLNA connection. the System message said like "Can not play the video".
Interestingly, some of them play sound without its movie.

Is there any way i can watch all movies?

    Cheers,
    Jooho.

    Hi cihcih,

This behavior that you mention directs towards codec compatibility. Check the support media formats by your HTS and encode your files so that they are compatible.

you can find the list here

    Hi guys,

I gave up using DLNA. it's too inconvenient, some movies recognized and some not and checking every video whether supported or not is too much work to do.

Not having HDMI input is really handicap but i managed to settle down.
I bought a media player and connected via HDMI into TV for video and Optical cable into HTS9140 for audio and it works perfect now.

you guys may consider to buy a media player in order to hassle free from incomplete DLNA support.

    Cheers,
    Jooho

DLNA, can be quite convenient sometimes after you have setup everything...
but still happy that you had a media box! it only serves one function - to play media, so yes i expect the compatibility will indeed be better
