Please add bluetooth + wifi media connect for android/ apple

Dear Philips,

Despite this is not my job and unfortunately i can´t attend upcoming events i would appreciate to see on philips devices the possibility to use bluetooth with myremote to switch on/off the device. One main feature to take off from the manufacturers' competition will be to develope wifi media connect for smartphones and tablets run with android/ iOS via DLNA. Philips please do not make the mistake to count only on ambilight which is on one of the main features to bye a philips TV.

the TVs don't have Bluetooth hardware - so you cannot do anything with Bluethooth...

This was more a wish for upcoming devices, maybe in 2015 :-)

but what's the reason for streaming your iPhone "desktop" to the TV? To stream audio, video and pictures just use a DLNA server app... such as twonky

The answer is included in the reason why you wanna stream your desktop of your PC to the TV.
For example to stream the browser content to the TV if you watch content with flash in it. Or you wanna show a powerpoint presentatoin which you have on your tablet/smartphone. Or you wanna play and stream a game and see it on the TV screen.

I'm looking to see this realized too!!! I want the same we have for our desktop PC to be available for our Android phones! They're powerful enough to do so... so there's no excuse to not doing it. :-)

But why should it work with Bluetooth? Wouldn't it make more sense to reuse the existing (W)LAN implementation on TV side? Since the phone can be connected to WLAN anyhow.

Disregard the bluetooth stuff... It's the same over wifi; but we all still want the capability of projecting our screens like media connect does on desktop computers.

This does not make sense to me. Reading the posts and the title of the thread, I thought, we are talking about an equivalent of "WiFi Media Connect" Software for iPhone/Android based devices.

I'm not sure, if you know the "WiFi Media Connect" Software. It takes a video of your whole screen on the PC and sends that video to the TV. So if a subtitle is shown by a videoplayer on your PC, this will be included as everything else you can see on your screen.

So there is no need for special subtitle support. Maybe you have mixed that with DLNA? Maybe you want Philips TVs support subtitle via DLNA?
