You can change the Level and Profile using a program called H.264 Leveleditor.
Just demux the mkv, change the level and profile and remux it. Make sure you disable the header compression when using mkvmerge, otherwise the movie will not be playable.

It seems that I didn't quite understand...I've used H264 LevelEditor and changed the level to 4.1 and it's the same
am I missing something? I've just selected the file, choose level 4.1 and try to play it but failed...

you also need to know, that if your MKV files have DTS sound, it also does not work...

The chances to see such an update, are fewer than winning lotto, while you are not a lotto player.
We (you know, the paying customers) are begging for this (and other simple things) fro 1,5 year now...
You wont see DTS support in Philips, they don't want to pay the license fee.

is not supported. Only Main@L3.0-3.2 and High@L4.0-4.1

i have the same issue on my 42PFL7606H/12, with the latest firmware. Here is MKV that could not be played from USB drive even format is High@L4.1 as you stated. Please if you can tell me why this file cannot be played on my TV?
