Freezes with X-men First Class bluray
I have a problem with a recent bluray: X-men First Class (EAN code: 8712626086024). The image and sound are freezing from the very begin, right where you can see the 20th Century Fox logo. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this problem. I'm running the latest 1.60 software.

other discs are fine... just this one?
is your device connected to internet, what if you disconnected your device to have a try (sometimes, it's because of BD live content...)Last edited by kwinnie; 10-10-2011 at 07:50 AM.

Yes, it's just this disc. I read on other forums some BD players have difficulties with this disc, especially 3D enabled players. It also seems the problems are indeed related to the BD-live content, some java scripts that are not processed accodingly.
My player is wireless connected to my router and I want to keep it that way without disconnecting the player.

if that s so, maybe they have to buy the disc to do some test (usually takes time for your information...)

I allready filled a support request with Philips and waiting for a resolution. I was just wondering if more people were experiencing the same on the BDP8000.

trust me, issues are resolved quicker using forum...
for phone and email... it's in longer path...
but if you have put that into request... let's just wait...

I got an email yesterday night from Philips saying they are working on a solution for this problem and we'll get a new firmware-update.

Problem also on other products
Hi,
Yesterday I received the HTS8562/12 Home Cinema Set to replace my Bluray BDP8000. I experience the same problem on the Bluray player that comes with the HTS8562/12 only it's now worse, the disc gets stuck on the beginning logo and does't play anymore. I think I also identified the problem for sure, if I disable the BD services, the disc plays without a problem. The firmware of the HTS is 1.27.00. Philips is there a solution on its way?

@ Philips - Remko: we are 3 weeks further, is there any solution for this problem yet?

@Philips - Remko: weird, I'm seeing this right from the start, on the opening logo. Loneship also confirms the freezes. Also there are numerous threads on the Internet that confirm problems with this disc because of javascript menu's in combination with BD-live content.
Do you have your test player connected to the Internet through a wireless network?
