    Split screen when using HD

I ordered HD movie from my IPTV service provider, and my new Philips TV went to split screen mode, showing the movie on both sides. Anyone knows why this happened ? How can I change the screen to normal mode ? This only happens with HD movie.

    Hi,

this sound that you are watching a 3D movie in Side-by-Side format. On the left you see the frame for the left eye and on the right you see the frame for the right eye. If you have a 3D TV you should force the TV to go into 3D mode and choose Side by Side.

Thanks, you are right, it is a 3D movie. But I still have a problem: my Philips 42PDL7906k does not seem to recognize that it is a 3D movie, and does not let me to select 3D mode. It this is a TV or IPtV problem ?

    Hi,

To be able to watch 3D movies, please make sure, you have connected a 3D compatible Device to the TV via HDMI.
Also, please look onto our Webpage for a new Firmware called 14.76.0 (not available yet but will be soon).

    Regards
    Thomas

    Hi Hjm,

TV will not recognize automatically 3D content unless it comes from a bluray disc. When u have Side-by-side (SBS) or Top-and-bottom (TnB) contents you¡ll have to activate manually. How to do it?

Press the "Adjust" key on your RC, then select "3D format" and from this menu the type of 3D signal you are viewing, in your case SBS.

The other option "2D/3D" is actually enabled when you are already viewing 3D and its function is to show only the left side of the stereoscopic image, i.e. if you have 3D content but want to see it in 2D.

    Regards,

For some reason I cannot activate 3D or 2D/3d in the Adjust mode. These choices appear in grey and do not react in clicks. Can it be that my HDMI cable is broken or old model ?

    Hi

    this is possible!
Can you please verify that 3D is working at all?
Depending on the TV you got, just turn the TV off, disconnect the 3D Sensor, reconnect it and turn the TV on.
If that does not help, get in Contact with f.e. your Retailer to see if you can watch the Movie you got with your IP/TV Receiver on a different TV.

    Regards
    Thomas
