    BDP6000/12 - Wi-Fi n @ 54 mbps only

I have a problem with a recently purchased BDP6000/12 wireless setup...

As I don't have a wireless router with n spec (only b/g), I'm trying to connect the Philips with my MSI netbook which has an in-built Atheros ar928X Wi-Fi adapter which supports the n spec. I managed to accomplish this by using Conectify virtual access point on my netbook...it's working BUT...!!!! The connection link is reported as being only 54 mbps on both the Philips and the netbook...I expected at least basic "n" speeds, but this is still running @ b/g speeds...

Is there something I'm just forgetting to "turn on" on either my netbook or Philips BD player side (is there anything I CAN turn on on the Philips) or is it perhaps the limitation of the virtual access point software I'm using...I did turn all setting that are assocciated with wireless "n" in the Atheros driver...

The Philips BDP6000/12 doesn't support adhoc connections I suppose...or does it?

any ideas would be much appreciated...

    thanks

Looks more related to your virtual access point but an easy test is to take it to a friend or relative
    and test it over there....

    Bye
