BDP7600: Please use title information of MKV files
During playback of a video file pressing the OK button on the control displays play information about the file (file name, title, chapter, edition, rating, progress bar). At least for mkv files the title information is empty even if the file contains such a thing (Matroska file format element "SegmentInfo - Title", can be checked with MediaInfo "General - Movie name").
Please use such title information in future versions of the firmware. Thanks.

I've checked only files that I've generated with mkvmerge in various versions (from 3.0.0 to 5.0.0). It was always the same: Title information is not used. (All files had muxed MPEG2 video and MP2 audio streams.)
(In a previous version of this posting I referenced the official Matroska test suite as an additional proof that title information is not used. Meanwhile I found out that those files use "tags" for storing title information. So the reference does not help here.)Last edited by upsh; 10-11-2011 at 03:38 PM.
