Exactly my case, and idem for any Asus user. I saw that file & did not manage deleting it. Having uninstalled the syncable program, it worked so well !

Is it already known if it is 'safe' to upgrade the DCM580 to ios6 ?
Or should DCM580 users wait for the next firmware update by Philips?
Publishing that information for DC580 users would be helpful and avoid new frustration.

Yes I did. iOS 6 does not need further upgrades. It works.

Hi, can you send me the update as well? I have thought for the last year that my Ipod and Iphone were the problem, but after reading this I understand an update will solve my issues after upgrading to IOS5 (and IOS6 since)

You can find the program on the Philips official site for support : http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/d...&slg=fr&scy=FR
(French site, but of course does not change the file). Upgrade 12 is OK, it works for iOS 5 AND ios 6.

Make sure there is absolutely no other file in the USB key, it would not work. (some PC manufacturers such as ASUS adds some features which automatically adds a file, see my previpus post)
