I downloaded the file.
Formatted my usb with fat, copied the file, still NO FILE.
Than formatted my usb with fat32, copied the file, still NO FILE

With this stick, the system recognized a mp3 song, but not your file i downloaded:
PHILIPS_DCM580_V45_20111026.MCS (698 KB size).

What can we do?

MAINTENANCE / CHANGES / ANOUNCEMENTS:
07-NOV-'11: Due to persistent problems in the data center, the content deployment to the Philips support website (P4C) is suspended since the beginning of week 1144.
The last content update to P4C has been on Saturday October 29 at 12:00 CEST. Everything uploaded after this time, like SW updates, leaflets, FAQ's, etc., is currently not available on the Internet.
This also explains the problems with the DCM580 SW downloading (corrupted file).
We apologise for any inconvenience and try to solve it ASAP.

I don't know if the file came originally from the P4C website, then it is possible that it is a corrupt file\image.

I downloaded the file but I can't see that it is, it doesn't mean that it is a valid file. but i just can't see, you need the original good file to compare it with.

I just hope that the Servers in the data center will soon be repaired...

I dont know Tim . I tried it on my lap top ( Vista ) and it did not work then I tried on my PC with XP and it worked fine. Sorry That I cant help you any more.
