    Thanks for your support. I tried with this link, did all the same, still NO FILE. I will need to buy another USB stick (the 4th!!!) but want to be sure, that this one will work fine, so I need the specifics and imho Philips should provide those –*at least.

    hi all

    i have the same problem with 4 different usb sticks. i spend a lot of time with format and download and i have still "no file" in my display. i spend also a lot of time with telephonesupport and chat. i download this file in this forum on my 4 different usb sticks and hope. after that i try to buy an antoher product! thanks at all

    hello andrea

    i have done it with windows 7 and mac osx lion also with winzip and winrar. now i have download the firmware from your link "https://www.yousendit.com/dl?phi_act...Z2dFc0pqQTlVag". i have 3 sticks in my hand 256MB old version/2GB new version/32GB big new version. every stick is formatted and on every usb stick is the file from your link. this evening i try the last update.... thanks rene

    Finally, the crackle sound problem appears again, after 5' playing music. The tower crackle and makes some strange noise, like if I'm not listening music (just iphone plugged). Does anybody else has this problem ?

    This whole issue is so ridiculous ...
    DCM580 is the last Philips product in my company.
    Almost one month and you can´t (want?) do nothing???

    Hi everyone,

    I am following these posts everyday as I was just about to buy the dcm580-12 before I found this forum.And thank god I did find this,as I have an iPhone 3GS with the new updated software and my iPhone wud not work on the tower,so wud be useless for my needs.I will look elsewhere unless Philips can resolve this issue in this product,and as a loyal Philips consumer who is also looking for a soundbar for a 47inch Philips ambilight LCD tv recently purchased,I will hold onto my money until the customer service is improved.Samsung seems to provide similar devices that would suit my requirements....

    Well done on all posters here,ur highlighting issues to people and saving them from wasting money.
