DCM580/12 Iphone 4 IOS5 Firmware
Hi Everyone,
Thank you for your patience whilst our development teams are looking to resolving this.
We can advise that the software has been built and is now under external approval process. This can take some time, so we will keep you up to date with the process.
Thank you,
Philips Moderation Team

Do you want a good solution? Then give them some time to test it thoroughly!
BTW, the one to blaim here, in my humble opinion, is Apple and not Philips, did you already complain there?
Philips is at least willing to come with a solution while Apple....? Good work Philips!

I wont go into your dispute if its Apple or Philips. The only thing a consumer should care about is, if it works or not, the rest is Philips responsibility as it was sold as an Iphone 3 and 4 device. Now the consumer can decide if he wants to keep the "faulty" device or get the money back and buy another from the retailer.
I think most of us have an understanding of the situation, but to be given the same answer for a week, that we have to wait more is NOT good support. They should at least set a deadline for how long we have to wait! Maybe you are used to your dock, you had those exiting moments, days when you bought it, but many of us like myself bought it just the day IOS5 came out, so its extra frustrating, I bought a dock to be used directly when I got home, I need it now.Last edited by pokeas; 10-27-2011 at 12:02 PM.

Hi,
I think each device which acts as Apple dock need to have a certificate from Apple... So apple need to approve the current new firmware fix...

Hi,
Update is now available (at least for /12 model):
System Software Version: 45
- Upgrade for compatibility with iOS 5.
18 days between first report and the final fix -- in my opinion this was really fast ;-)

Its Working!!
New firmware available here:
http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/d...&slg=en&scy=GB
Have to thank Philips, even if the support could have been better, like not just saying they are working on it, but telling how long we have to wait ect. And when I got an email from Swedish support that Philips are not planing to fix this, you can imagine I was angry.
But again Thank You Philips!
//David.

well done Philips! 18 days is not bad at all in my opinion but maybe it should have been thought of in advance!
