Hi,
did you format your USB stick with FAT? After that, just copy the extracted file: double click on the downloaded ZIP file and drag the file to the usb stick.

I will help you!
1.) You found out how to format your usb drive, good, it doesn't matter how many KBs you format with, just press format after you choose FAT32. This was the first step.
2.)Second step; download the new Firmware, look at the instructions witch is available on the download site. Now you have to install winrar if you dont already have it on your computer. You can download it here:
http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
You have to choose if you want to download the 32 bit version for windows or the 64 bit. If you don't know if your computer is 32 or 64 bits just go with the 32 bit version, (WinRAR x86 (32 bit) 4.10 beta 2 on the top of the page) if that doesn't work download the 64 bit, one of them will work.
3.)Now double click on the downloaded firmware file from Philips, winrar will automatically start, on the top pane you will see a "EXTRACT" button, select(mark) your file and press the button. It will ask where to extract it, choose your USB drive. And you are good to go.
4.)Follow the installation instructions from Philips.
Let me know how it went and if you need more help or don't understand something !

Hi,
small guide:
- format your USB stick with FAT (not FAT32, not ExFAT)
- download the file "dcm580_12_fus_deu.zip" on your desktop
- double click on that file - now you should see "PHILIPS_DCM580_V45_20111026.MCS"
- drag and drop that file on your usb stick
- plug this usb stick on your DCM
- wait until it is finished

Hi,
I tried the update on 4GB usb drive, my computer runs on Windows 7 64 Bits. I format the usb drive using FAT. But I still see "No file", doesn't anyone have an idea ?
Thanks
