This is not so true. I bought my 9705 one year ago. I was surprised to discover that DTS pass-through was missing. My previous TV was an 9731, and this has DTS-pass-through.

So, not everybody knows that DTS pass-through is missing from the TVs (especially since every other brand does have this feature).
