    37pfl9603d spdif out issue

Hi, I have a 37PFL9603d/10 i using devices connected via HDMI (set top box sky hd blu ray philips bdp3000) and devices connected in analog audio (old dvd recorder ). The out spdif of tv is connected to digital in philips hts3367. Analog source and tv works well but with sources hdmi the sound cut out for just a second and then return. If i use tv analog out work but i have purchased a Philips digital system!!!
I've changed all my HDMI cables, i've changed many spdif rca quality cables, tried all the connections and updated the firmwares.
    Any ideas?

    Kind Regards

    Mauro

You can search for "sound drops" on this forum, you will find many threads.
Its a bug present in 2010, 2011 models, and now that you report it also in 2008 models...

For sure it was not there in 2006 models (my 9731 does not have this bug).

I am afraid that Philips either does not knows how to solve this in software, or it is a hardware problem.

Philips does not recommends it, but a few customers have done it in the ***5 series.
There are some known limitation though (i.e. you cannot go back from firmware 140.x to 75.x).
No info has been available on this forum about the ***3 models.

Do you think that there were no sound drops up to a specific firmware, and they got introduced in a particular firmware?
