BDP 3200/12 -NTFS support???
Hi
will there come any upgrade to support NTFS DISCs ?
A new player like this should have support for this - I see that model 2800 have this support.

Hi,
What do you mean with "NTFS discs"? DVDs? That wouldn't be possilbe. If you mean harddiscs - my 3200/12 is reading NTFS formatted USB Sticks.
Have you tried it?
Lars.

Hi,
maybe "NTFS works", but it is not actively "supported" by Philips...

Hi,
Maybe there could be support for another (free) filesystem, which supports files >4GB? What about ext3/4 (haven't tried yet, maybe it works also)?
But I can live with the status quo. The missing possibility of playing german HD-DVB-C recordings annoys me more...
But that's part of another thread.
Lars.

I`ve got quick reply from customer support, here is the answer:
- I am not aware of any plans to add support of the NTFS format; howver Philips does welcome feedback and suggestions and as such, I have passed your comments to the appropriate department for consideration.
Kind Regards,
Nick
Philips Customer Care
let`s hope it will !

to my knowledge, this case is a bit different...
for 2010 models, NTFS is not supported and for 2011 it should be supported.
for BDP3200, there is mark I and mark II devices.
MI comes from 2010 and MII comes from 2011.
The serial numbers determines... I have a BDP3200 home(and i forgot if that s mark1 or mark2)... but I m afraid I can only test it tomorrow night...Last edited by kwinnie; 10-25-2011 at 01:32 AM.
