Thanks but it would help if someone knew for certain.
I want to know because the new HDMI v1.4a format supports 1080 lines at 60Hz in 3D which is what I would like for connecting my PC to the TV and playing "call of duty" and "world of warcraft" at 60 frames per second in 3D at full 1920x1080 native resolution.
HDMI v1.4, only has 3D compatibility for 720 lines at 60 frames per second OR 1080 lines at 24/30 frames per second. These are fine for films but will not give native resolution.
It's frustrating the tv specification or manual does not give the HDMI version !

All HDMI accept till 1080p 60Hz, I think 3D do not make any difference., output of my Pc (1080p60HZ) works fine whith 3D Films (at 24Hz), sou I think films on 60Hz don´t be a problem.

Manuel thanks for your reply again, but may i kindly suggest you ready the source link I have provided. Yes 3d films at 24Hz are supported in HDMI v1.4. 1080p60Hz is supported in HDMI v1.4but not in 3D, that is why HDMI 1.4a was released.
v1.4a supports 1080p60 in 3d though.
Maybe I have got it wrong though and am quite open to be proven wrong. If you or someone else could try this tv from a PC with a 1080p60Hz 3D source I would be most appreciative if they could clarify if it works or not.

I understand your point a view, I can´t find any info about the HDMI type (I think Pc made some kind a conversion 24 to 60Hz).
The hardware is based on a TI SIL9187 or SIL9287, both are 1.3.
I hope Philips can answer, or someone try, I do not have 3D film at 60Hz, can you give me a link for a short film?

I see your point of view as well Manuel. I have just checked the manual of the tv:
http://download.p4c.philips.com/file...12_dfu_eng.pdf
It says as you pointed out on your first posting on this thread that ARC (audio return channel) is supported. The datasheet you have provided (if correct) says that it's HDMI 1.3 on this TV, yet ARC was released with HDMI 1.4.
This whole thing is becoming very very confusing.
As you say Manuel would be helpful if someone from Philips would answer this question.
Do Philips technicians read the forums?

hey moonman; the tv has only 1 HDMI 1.4 compatible port, thats the port indicated with "ARC".
with 2k12 sets, all those ports will be 1.4
but i guess this port is already 1.4a because this is something quoted out of the link, youve provided:
HDMI 1.4a requires that 3D displays support the frame packing 3D format at either 720p50 and 1080p24 or 720p60 and 1080p24
however and now back to your question:
i dont see any reference that 1080p60 via 3d is supported or that 1.4a is neccessary to have this?!? not in the wikipedia article, and i dont find that information in the internet at all...?!?

a_Tom, thanks for your reply I am now convinced that the ARC HDMI input on this TV is at least 1.4.
You are also write that 1080p60 3d is not supported in any HDMI format at all - my mistake there - sorry!
However if I may quote from wikipedia it reads
"HDMI 1.4a requires that 3D displays support the frame packing 3D format at either 720p50 and 1080p24 or 720p60 and 1080p24, side-by-side horizontal at either 1080i50 or 1080i60"
I would want 3d 1080i60 output from my PC to get native resolution on my big tv.
3d 1080i60 is not supported in 1.4, but is supported in 1.4a.
So the question is now, is the ARC HDMI input on this tv 1.4 or 1.4a?
