Option to switch Left/Right with Side-by-Side movies
Dear Philips,
i have a Problem with some 3d content. Not all content is created in the right way and so the Sites were change.
Some Brands have a function to correct this Problem and can change Left/Right to Right/ Left. (I think LG and Samsung have this Feature).
But i prefere Tv's from Philips but i already miss this function.
Know Philips this Problem?
And is there a plan to update the 3d Models with a new function
•Side-by-Side (Left/Right)
•Side-by-Side (Right/Left)
in the 3d menu?
Best Regards
Fox

Hi,
I think all series which have the 2D to 3D conversion feature, have these options. As you can see on the images in this blog post: http://58pfl9955.wordpress.com/2011/...1er-tv-serien/
It would be really nice to have this option in all series and also in 2010 TV series.

Hi,
yes - you have a 2011 model - but your model does not have 2D to 3D conversion. And only these models (with 2D to 3D conversion) have these "change sides" options...

@ Toengel
@Philips
But I still have the question at Philips.
Is there a plan to update my Series 7606 Mdoel with a new function with an Firmware Upgrade
•Side-by-Side (Left/Right)
•Side-by-Side (Right/Left)
in the 3d menu?
Only this.
I think for a 3D TV is this missing Option realy a bug.
2D to 3D conversion is not required and is not a component of my wish.
Regards

Hi
there is no plan at the moment to have this feature on all 3D compatible TV's.
We do know that there is content available which has the wrong settings but as you wrote it already, it is the content which is wrong not the TV settings.
I am not saying that it will never come this this TV Series but there are no promises!

Hello Thomas,
thanks for your answer.
Please keep the idea in your Mind. And bring it to the firmware development prozess.
By a realisation you would make many Philips users & fans very happy and they can wear their polifilter glasses the right way round

42PFL7656K: Option to switch 3D SBS left/right and also right/left
Hello!
I have seen that several Philips TV-series already show this opportunity to select the 3D SBS whether it is left/right or right/left.
When will this feature be available for the 42PFL7656K?
Regards

I think this feature is essential for a TV that claims 3d compatibility especially as many OEM cheap TV's , have this feature.
As a 7606 user that has just received a refund for a set with dead pixels I was intending to buy a 7666. But will think again.
You don't always have control over the content so allowing the TV to swap left and right sides , seems logical,
How difficult is this if the logic is already in the 8 and 9 series???
We are not asking for 2d-3d conversion. Just the ability to swap L/R images

well, dont know but on blu rays it is set the right way so for blu rays you dont need that feature and if you rip a blu ray you can check the settings in your program yourself, i really dont see any conent where you dont have the control, okay there the rips shared via internet but honestly, you dont ask philips to support illegal file sharing... are you?You don't always have control over the content so allowing the TV to swap left and right sides , seems logical,

I totally agree with Fox. This feature is definitely a must. There are customer like me who paid more than 2k Euro for their TV (46PFL9705) and IMHO we can expect to get more than bugfixes with a firmware upgrade.
Kind regards,

IT is Youtube I use for watching a lot of HD.
Some great stuff on their. One of my favourites is underwater coral reefs, and fish. So real in 3D, great depth on the coral.
