14.88 will not be available for download nor will it be pushed by nettv.
You have to call the Philips helpdesk and arrange an homeservice were the technician will update your tv.
As not all sets have this problem.
Else you have to wait for a regurlar update.

    Hi,

14.88 is already available in the FAQ section of each 2011 TV ;-) (sort by date and take the entry for "14.84 ambilight problem" - in this FAQ the 14.88 is linked).

    Question Same problems? Same solutions?

    Hi all,

I received my Philips TV 42PFL7606H last week end and installed it.
I upgraded it with last firmware available on PHILIPS website: 14.84

    And I have 2 issues:
    - sometimes after 1 ou 2 hours watching TV, it shut down without action :-(
    - this morning when I woke up, I've seen that the screen was not black as I stay it yesterday night in stand by. It was with a low intensity blue light :-(

Do you know what I can do?
It seems that you speak about a new firmware update (14.88) but it is not available on Philips french websites :-(
I don't find it here and before using it, I want be sure that he is available for my TV and validate by PHILIPS for my TV model sold in France.

Sorry for my poor language and thanks a lot in advance for your help.

    Regards.

    Hi,

firmware 14.91 is on the track right now (it's already released for 8K, 9K and 21:9) - just wait some more days... It will fix both of your problems...

(firmware 14.88 is linked in the FAQ-Section of your TV)

One additional question please: how do you access to FAQ?
Because when I click on FAQ menu, I find a search screen and whatever I write, no results appears! :-(
And if I search in "Find your product" or "Software and drivers" menus, I don't find :-(

Please, tell me where you go to find it.

    Thanks.
