    Hi stefanox,

Have you tried changing the display panel brightness?

    1. Press the "HOME" button and select "SETUP"
    2. Select "PREFERENCE"
    3. Select "DISPLAY PANEL" to change the brightness of the display

You can find full instructions from page 23 of the manual: http://download.p4c.philips.com/file...98_dfu_aen.pdf

I hope this helps to resolve this for you. If the panel is still not bright enough after adjusting the settings let me know and I can send your feedback to our development team.

    Kind regards,
    Cassandra

This device has no build in sensor to do so. Only option is as explained before.

Anyhow if a lot of light comes on it then it is normal this happens

Maybe add it to the wishlist, you never know

    Bye

i hop that the development team can solve the follow problems:

    - panel brightness (Verry Dark on day)
    - Volume when playing a movie, for a little bit sound the machine must set to 45/50 volume.
