Feature Req: Switch language in multi-audio video over USB/DNLA
I thought I've seen this somewhere, but couldn't find the thread by title anymore.. So, sorry, if it's a duplicate, please merge and bump in that case.
I have quite a few mkv's with more than one audio track in the meantime. Unfortunately, it still seems impossible to select one.
If yes, this is a really big pretty pretty BIG PLEASE add a function to switch between several audio tracks on playing a multi-audio from USB or DNLA. If I could, I'd vote this feature 9.5 out of 10 for the New Features To Add ;-)
Btw, one interesting thing - can't really explain it - the default audio is not selected by order in the mkv multiplex. I had a movie with one english and one german track, so, to test it, I created two mkvs, each with a different one as "first" audio track. Still, always the English track was selected. I had to remove the english audio completely from the file to make the TV play the German one.
Thanks,
Matthias

Hi Thomas,
I also miss this functionality on my Philips TV. I really want to avoid to install an additional streaming device.
I would also be grateful if you could take this on the requirements list.
Regards,
Daniel

I just registerd to say this is a much needed feature! It is so annyoing to start watching a movie and realize it is the wrong audio language and you cannot switch it.
To get a program just to delete the wrong audio language is a pain and to do it for every movie. Allmost every device that plays .mkv can switch the audio language. Just make a new Field in the Options menu and you are good to go. It cannt be that hard to implement it. Ok its hard to discuss it and get the approval
I really hope you enable it before the next series of tvs next year.

50EUR media players have this features... Even DLNA players on my iPad have it.
Common, I want English in mkv, but my wife doesn't speak English, she wants Russian, I'd like director's comments, different translations, etc.
+1 for this essential feature.Last edited by IgDem; 01-17-2012 at 08:59 AM.
