Disc 1, movie: The video stutters (a lot of times just before changing of camera or scene) Sound OK
Dics 2: The bonus disk. error: unknown disc

Disc not tested in other players since I've got only 1 blu ray player...

I have same problem with the Harry Potter Deathly Hallows part 2 Disc 2 (Special Features disc),
I was indicated this problem in a previous post at 24th of november 2011.
When can we expect the new firmware release for bdp5180/12, what is solve this problem?

Hi, i have problems with an older version of the AVATAR Blu-ray!

The disc mostly freezes at first start. so you have to restart the player to resolve the problem.

Film - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2

- Exact problem faced: It comes up as Unknown Disc when I insert disc 2 with the Special Features.

Can someone at Philips please advise me if they are working on a fix for the above problem now? I really don't want to wait months to be able to watch the special features!!

We would like to give you a brief update that the development team is now looking into 1) Harry Porter disc issue and 2) Brazilian disc issue.

For the other disc playability issue, we will follow our normal way of work- will order and verify them. We will update you on the progress.

The disk hangs after starting out of the main menu.
Disk has to be ejected after that.
Starting at chapter 2 worked fine.

Please can you send a firmware update? Last was 08.2011... Is really 2 years too old for a device?
