Dual View Ambilight flickering

When playing in Dual Mode i can notice that the ambilight flickering like a disruption from the smooth light once in 5-20 sec.
Sometime it just blinks, sometimes it flicker in a totally other color than it should. Even if the picture isn't moving, like game in pause mode.

PS3 Connected via HMDI 1.4 tried both HDMI 1 and 2, Tried GranTurismo 5 and another racing game and same problem in both. TV and PS3 is updated to latest version. Very annoying...

Had never experience this problem in other modes, 2D or 3D movies etc.

Just to let everyone know I have installed the most recent software version Q5551-0.1084.0 as recommended by Philips support helpline but that has made no difference.

Is anyone else experiencing the same or similar issues Id love to hear from you if you are or indeed If anyone has a idea as to how I am going to resolve this.

I also have the same problem with my screen (Philips 42PFL7606K/02)

Had to realize this problem with my PS3 the first day I got the machine....
I directly ordered a replacement by amazon, but also the second machine had exactly the same problem....
Updating to the newest firmware didn't change anything either. Now my machine just decides to go to standby every few times I use the menu or change the TV Channel!!!!
So, I tried if it might be my PS3.
Unfortunatelly the same problem appeared also with an Xbox, a PS3 of a friend, all had the same problem and it's horrible annoying. The Ambilight flashes every few moments, no matter if activated or not.
The PS3s I used were Firmware 3.66 and 3.72. The Xbox was updated recently as well.
As the problem occurred on all machines in 3D Game mode I am really unhappy with the product.

Although I really like Ambilight a lot, I am now considering to return this tv and ask my money back. This problem is simply not acceptable.

I have a thread titled - flashing ambilight issue when 3d gaming on my PS3 . So far no one from Philips has joined the conversation but 4 other customers have with over 20 posts. Philips - please join the discussion and help us with this issue.

It is a very similar problem to this Dual View Ambilight flickering (my 7666t/12 flickers/flashes when 3D gaming in normal 3D or dual View).

Setting the Ambilight function to Cool While does not fix the issue. It just sets the ambilights on all of the time. The issue then manifests itself by flickering off then on again very quickly - its just as annoying.

Please provide us with a serious fix for this problem, set it to cool white is not a fix. Firmware needed to solve this. Philips come on how hard can it be??? We are your costumer who is paying money for a product that is faulty priority no1
