ARC with TV/PC/BDP
Meanwhile I connected a BDP7600 BlueRay Player and my PC...
The BlueRay Player seems to resize the picture with the correct aspect ratio because all BR/DVD and all movies from USB via the BRPlayer were shown in the right manner. In addition it has a simple zoom functionality that allows to zoom the picture stepwise without stretching it. Also the BDP7600 can decode DTS sound so I connected my old analog 5.1 system via cinch (was happy when i read that the player has analog output).
BUT:
1. The BDP7600 only decodes DTS sound from DVD/BRD. Multichannel DTS sound from mkv files is played only in stereo!? Other multichannel files are played correctly! WHY?
2. The TV and the player are connected over the ARC (Audio Return Channel) HDMI port but the sound from my PC (HDMI) is played only by the TV speakers. It's not passed through to the BlueRay Player!
I think those Philips devices are really good in theory. They have a great picture quality, top design and a lot of nice features. But if you look closer there are too many little flaws which makes it hard to really be satisfied as a customer. And I think a lot of the little issues could be solved even by software updates! Hope they work hard on this...

With the help of Thomas I found out that the BDP7600 does not have an ARC-HDMI port which is the reason for the sound not being passed trough from the PC over the TV to the BDP (I first thought that only the source device must have the ARC).
Therefore my question is:
Is there another way of passing the sound trough - maybe via S/PDIF?
Thanks.

BDPs are just players...
The only way is to connect directly sound sources (PC or TV) to the amplifier....
