DLNA movie settings
Hi,
TV: 40PFL9704h/12 from 2009, Wireless network, atest SWBR Soundbar: HTS9140 from 2010, cable network. latest SW
NAS: Readynas Duo
Everything is connected and works.
Oddly the HTS doe snot support as much movie file formats as the TV but it is 1 year newer.
I would like to put my older DVD's on the DLNA network but do not know which settings to use.
Problems encountered so far:
- picture is build up of rectangular blocks
- picture is not smooth, especially moving scenes
- sound is not in lone with picture.
These are the things i believe i need to set:
- format
- videocodec
- framerate
- size
- bitrate
- cropping (?)
- filters (?)
- audiocodec
- samplerate
Any recommendations for best playback on the TV?

Hi
first of all you should clearly state on which Device you have a Request!
Is it the HTS or the TV?

Thanks,
http://www.supportforum.philips.com/...S-and-Blu-ray)
does give some answers.
Unfortunately these answers are not readable to me: main profile up to 10Mb/s. Is this 720x576x25fps. And can that vary?
A table showing resolution and framerate would be easier.
Again I can alter these settings in Handbrake:
- framerate
- picture size
- picture cropping
- bitrate or constant quality.
What would be good (or even great) settings for DVD?
Regards,
Armand
