code to unlock menu

i've got a philips 52PFL8605H/12.
When i enter the menu about channels its ask me for a code. I've already checked the help inside the TV wich tell me to check the doc. inside the box of my tv, but no luck!
Please where can i see that PIN to unlock access?

it sounds like the parental control - did you activate that by accident?

eheh good question but up for now no children here, only me and my lady but no kid. And im 30 years old.
Anyway i've also tryed contacting via email philips ( i dont have nothing to hide), but got a replay telling :

Thank you for your email.It has not reached its intended destination.Verify
the destination address, and insure that it is listed first in the “To:”
field when sending. This will help to insure proper
delivery

keep in mind that i used the form on the official site of philips...so well..pretty strange i must say!

hi IronJack,

For some countries it is now mandatory to have a default parental rating level, so even if you did not activate it you'll have it and the code will be the default (universal) '8888' until you change it.

Do you happen to live in France? Check on the parental rating menu to see which ratings are available.
