bluray "Harry Potter and the deathly hallows - part 2"
BDP8000/12 firmware 1.60
I see little "jumps" of the image every 3-4 minutes for the whole movie. They are visible even frame-by-frame.
Audio seems regular.
I don't know if the cause is the disc or the player. Anyone else noted the problem ?Last edited by maumau; 11-19-2011 at 12:49 PM.

Hi,
how is your HDMI video setup of your player? "Auto"? Try 1080p...

hi Toengel, my vpr is Panasonic PT-AE2000 which supports 1080p/24.
Anyway I tried 1080p, 720p and 576i with no results.
I disabled HDMI Deep Colour and Video BluRay 3D. No results.
Another italian users has the same problem (BDP8000 + Harry Potter TDHpart2), but also a guy with Cambridge 650.
Should I reset the player after each change ?Last edited by maumau; 11-19-2011 at 07:36 PM.

Would be good to try on a Tv instead of a projector. Just for testing of course to see what happens.
Maybe also give the EAN code of the discs.
Bye

Unfortunately I don't have a TV in my home theater room. Anyway, I don't see the problem in the few blurays I have seen till now (included "HP-TDH-part 1").
In fact, the general fluidity of the images is better than my previous Playstation3, especially during slow pannings.
Looking closely with the "frame-by-frame" feature, it seems that the "jump" is produced by this wrong frame cadence:
frame1 > frame2 > frame3 > frame4 > frame5 > frame4 > frame5 > frame6 .....
The EAN code of the disc (italian version) is: 5051891033696

Hi. There are more reports of this problem in BDP-3000 and BDP-7000 section. I have the same issues with BPD3000 and a BDP 2800.

My BDP8000 is the Brazilian (Device: BDP8000/78 SW version: V1.60). Watching Harry Potter 7.2, the same thing happened to me too. In certain scenes in the film is a "delay" in the image. I changed the default setting for the player and the "jumps" persisted. I thought the problem was the disc that is American (UPC: 883929140886), however, by placing the disc, this time the Brazilian (EAN 7892110075442), the problem still exists. It is the first time it happened. No problem with other movies. Thanks!

As far as I could check from other threads they are testing it on various devices, also the BDP8000 was already reported....lets wait and see what happens
