Audio, album art
Hello everyone,
My config: 40PFL6606h/12, Tversity DLNA server, latest firmware on the TV.
Has anyone successfully seen album art while streaming mp3 audio from a DLNA server to TV? I have a very big music collection, where there is always a folder.jpg coverart in the folder for every album. When I play a whole folder, audio is fine, but no cover art. That "note" picture is very retro in the 21st century :-)
Can I show album art while streaming from a DLNA server? Are there any rules to follow? (file format, size, etc.)
I am kindly asking for a reply from Philips too, so we can know exactly what to do to be able to show album art while playing music.
Thank you and stay well.
P.S. Is there hope for FLAC to be a supported audio format?

Hi,
on my TV (2010) series, also no covers are shown (neither folder.jpg nor integrated covers).
I hope there will be an update to activate the display of ID3 tags of MP3 for example...

Hi,
it's an Android App for beaming Music, Pictures, Videos to your TV... it's based on Twonky DLNA server...

Hi,
I like it too on my 2010 TV.
No cover art is shown:
- via USB
- via DLNA (Philips Simply Share App)

That's a joke, right?
There is only a huge 'musicnote' on the screen and on top of every single song in the song selection. If the TV is capable to show *.JPG (from \Foto), why should it not be capable to show the same *.JPG-type from an album-music folder or even better from inside the id3tag from my *.mp3 tracks?
Any information from Philips about this issue?
(BTW: Do you have an issue tracker or something like this?)

Hi there,
In my 2011 model (9000 series), also no cover art is shown. No folder.jpg, but also no ID3 embedded cover art. I think it is not embedded in the streaming software.
I agree with Toengel an dStarterz. I would find this a great contribution for a future firmware update!

Hi
Sorry to say but we don't support Album Art Informations on our Sets.
Not via DLNA or USB.

Even though its not supported now - is there any chance it can be in a firmware update? Can you suggest this feature to the Philips firmware developers?
