Mood light switching off after 10 seconds
I have had the 55PFL7606/T12 for the past 5 days.
Everything appears to be fine except the mood light. The mood light being the ambilight activated when the tv is switched off.
By pressing the ambilight button on the front of the tv while in standby mode the mood light comes on (choice of 4 settings, deep water, lava, nature etc).
The problem is it comes on ok...for about 10 seconds then switches off.
Would anyone who has this tv with the latest software installed please check if this happens with your tv and let me know if it works or not on yours? (either way please tell !). I have informed philips about this and they have said they will gladly exchange, but I am concerned a replacement will be the same.
My hunch is that it is a software issue.

Tried it with my replacement TV, but could not reproduce this.
TV: 32PFL7695
FW: Q5551_0.140.34.0 (don't dare to upgrade a loan-TV...)
Will try on my normal TV as soon (if? :S) as I get it back...

Hi,
should be fixed - but why did you do not take a look at the release notes? It's written there... ;-)

The latest version of the software release notes for the 55pfl7606T/12 are here

I don't read anything about the mood light being fixed.

Hi,
T models don't have the same firmware level as the H and K models - at the moment...

The latest software is now out for this model and the release notes say that the "Ambilight lounge light turns off by itself" bug has been solved.
I have a question, when you update the software does all the tv settings get lost? ie contrast, brightness etc?
