HTS 5581 got stuck after Firmware Upgrade v1.27

    Hey there,

    may anyone help me.
I just got a new HTS5581 System plugged everything in and turned it on.
Then I was notified that there is a Firmware Upgrade available and agreed to install.
I guess I saw something that it didn't succed. Though the device rebooted and displayed only "UPG MCU".
So I thought it may take some time and left the device for abou 4 hours but nothing happened.
So I plugged out the power and restarted the device.
Now it comes up with "Erase ..." and afterwards "UPG MCU" on the display.
All Buttons on the device do not react anymore, only the remote does.
I can switch through the menues and there it says FW 1.27 is installed. So I cannot restart firmware upgrade because the device tells me that there is no valid upgrade (network and USB).

The problem is that the display on the device shows all the time "UPG MCU", the buttons on the device are not working and I do not have sound at all.

Does anybody has an idea how to solve it?

    Hi,
can you try to download the sw again from website and to follow the upgrade via USB procedure through the advanced setup menu?
I had the same issue (my fault, I forgot a disc in the tray during the upgrade) but I solved that way.
Hope this will works for you too

    yes ,
    i guess you can try:
    1) re-downloadind the firmware from the website and upgrade it throufh USB as Kiro said
    2) if you kept the previous firmware (or if any one in the forum keeps that), you can try downgrading solution

if both dont help, i m afraid you hv to go to service...
