BDP3280 USB not recognizing .MP4 file
I tried to play an .mp4 file via the USB Port on the BDP3280, yet it was declared as an unsupported format.
If I connect the same USB stick to my Philips 42PFL7666K/02 TV, the file works perfectly.
Is there some kind of bug in the BR player? FW is 2.21 and I have not found any firmware updates for it.
Regards
Peter

My player is a 2011 model.
MediaInfo tells me the file has the following codec:
Format : AVC
Format/Info : Advanced Video Codec
Format profile : High@L4.2
Format settings, CABAC : Yes
Format settings, ReFrames : 3 frames
Codec ID : avc1
Codec ID/Info : Advanced Video Coding
Duration : 1h 25mn
Bit rate : 1 544 Kbps
Maximum bit rate : 12.3 Mbps
Width : 720 pixels
Height : 400 pixels
Display aspect ratio : 16:9
Frame rate mode : Constant
Frame rate : 25.000 fps
Color space : YUV
Chroma subsampling : 4:2:0
Bit depth : 8 bits
Scan type : Progressive
Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.214

As I said, the same file plays on my TV via USB with no problems.

Regards
Peter

Hi, as stated in the codec sheet this is not supported.
Change it to level 4.0 and see what happens

What do you mean by "Change it to level 4.0"?
How do I do that?

Use a codec converter to change it to a different level. There is a lot of them like K-lite for example...

since from time to time, i hv to check the codec, i use mediainfo
http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en
using that allows you change some of the parameters as well (so eventually u can adjust down the profile)
