Your experiences with FW v0.140.40.0 for 8xx5 and 9xx5 series (2010 models)
Hi,
Please share your experiences with this new SW version here in this topic. Channeling your input will make it easier for users to search and find relevant info.
Discuss here all your experiences when upgraded to the new version: new, old, positive, negative.... (for example, the "sound drop at HDMI problem" or the "black screen during zapping problem" is solved !).

Hi,
release notes are not updated yet - but the Net TV connection problem should be fixed by now...

NetTV seems OK again
I just upgraded my 40PFL8605 from 140.39 to 140.40
After starting NetTV, I got the popup to register my TV. That was to be expected as I erased NetTV memory yesterday (I too was experiencing slow NetTV connects or my TV needed a lot of attemps to finally connect etc) and hoped it would make any difference.
After registering (filling in the e-mail address on tv screen) NetTV started at once. Yessssss.
I then checked my e-mail, clicked the link and completed registration. When I went back to my TV and started NetTV again, it didn't work anymore.... The screen went black for a short period of time and then went back to TV signal. Tried it a couple of times from different channels, didn't change anything.
I than switched the TV off, waited a bit and turned it on again. After starting NetTV, it worked again.
Let's hope it keeps on working.Last edited by Alicia; 08-25-2011 at 05:31 PM.

Great to hear...
Still I wait a little longer until the changelog is available.
(or maybe just tomorrow if I can't wait..
)
@Erik: Still am currious of which hardware is causing the sounddrops...

I can confirm that NetTV is working again after installing 140.40 ! I also noticed that it isn't so slow anymore.
