Your experiences with FW v0.140.44.0 for 8xx5 and 9xx5 series (2010 models)
Hi,
Please share your experiences with this new SW version here in this topic. Channeling your input will make it easier for users to search and find relevant info.
Discuss here all your experiences when upgraded to the new version: new, old, positive, negative.... (for example, the "sound drop at HDMI problem" or the "black screen during zapping problem" is solved !).

Hi,
no changelog is available yet. This update is also already available for the 2010 Econova.
Edit:
Can everybody please check my bug list against firmware 140.44? Is something fixed? THANKS!

Hi,
I'm sorry for my english...
I have a 9705 40" and I see the movies and games from Play Station 3. The problem when using the 3D, the image isn't nitid (background and first layer).
It's normal? Anyone else have the same problem? The last firmware 000.140.044.000 is the solution?
Thanks.

no problems here
My 46pfl9705 never really had any issues, except maybe poor 3D quality, which in a previous update did improve quite a bit. The update to 144 did not create any new issues, which I guess is good, but I really didnt see any new functions or something (Net TV is still Net TV :-) )
My EPG did look fancier then I remember, but I had not used that for some time, so that might not be related to this update
Having an XBOX360 and PS3, I noticed recently several XBOX360 games support 3D as well using side by side (example: Gears of War 3), the 3D quality seems better then my PS3 games. This might be related to that in side by side the resolution is obviously lower as it combines 2 pictures into one.

For me this firmware gives the same problems as the past one. Subtitles with dynamic backlight turned on don't work for many sources since it makes the whole panel blink in brightness. Basically the dynamic backlight is anything but subtle in many sources and thus I end up turning it off constantly. The other problem I had also remains. When connecting the tv to my pc through a dvi to hdmi cable, hence without an audio channel I have to mute the tv since sooner or later (after a few hours) the audio source from the tv antenna input starts playing on the tv despite of the selected hdmi video source of the computer.
My tv is pfl 32 9705 h

Hi,
my model is 37pfl8605H/12 and I installed the release 140.44 this morning; apparently nothing different for audio&video features during normal channel display.
I noticed audio problem (a sort of stuttering sound) with PS3 games, all the time.
I downgraded to 140.40 and the problem disappeared.
I wait for software history
Ciao

Hi,
did you try to switch off the TV (main power)? This helps a lot...
