I chose to buy this product because I thought Philips 37PFL5603D/10 is an exceptional brand manufacturer
but already I doubt
The software update will find Q522E_0.64.40.0
To add DVB-C functionality for Sweden and Denmark Finland.for
My Fields is how I can get DVB-C in Romania because currently I receive only programs analogige
Possess other televisions that I think are inferior to Philips but after upgrade it receives
digital
Please help me to be able to receive digital cable in Romania

latest software is 64.79, this ca be found at www.philips.com/support

digital cable Romania will be not official supported, but it might work if you select at installation on of the countries where DVB-C is supported.

this means also if you experience problems with CAM module there will be no official support from Philips.
If it works you are lucky.

No, even to change the language Settings does not change anything about this.
There is no DVB-C Receiver built in.

True! but only useful if you have a TV which has a DVB-C Tuner build in. The 5603D does not.

At first you should think about the way you act/react in this Forum.
I will only write that once: watch your writings!

Second: the TV can receive Digital TV.. yes DVB-T is also Digital but i guess your Question is how you can receive Digital Cable, for this you need a Digital Cable Receiver.
You can buy one in a local Electronic Store or you buy one from your Cable Operator.

Hi, i brought my 37PFL5603D/10 in 2008 and since i've heard about DVB-T that i'm expecting that some upgrade software comes to let me install those channels.

Looking arround in web i found what you said in this forum, so i'm asking (like a non very smart guy in this area) how do i instal the channels in Portugal. Do i need anything else than a simple antena outside (or inside) that can capture the signal.
(i may say that the antena works with another device and it is ok to receive DVB-T signal)

Other subject is, i have installed the last version of firmware, but it says that it is from 2009, and the new one has been dated 2010. I tryed to upgrade, thinking that it could be this my solution, and i can't install it!

Hope you understand my questions, and hope you a have a solution for me very soon.
