Audio bit rate from digital audio (co-ax) o/p

Hi - I hope I'm in the right part of the forum for this question - I have noticed that the digital audio output from the co-ax connector is at 1.53MHz (equivalent to a 48kHz sample rate) for both normal TV programmes and DLNA audio streaming (Twonky media audio server on a NAS). The reason this is an issue to me is that every few seconds the audio appears to 'hiccup' and I'm speculating that this is because the audio really should be output at 44.1kHz (my other TV is a Panasonic that outputs the same digital audio at 44.1kHz with no probs). I can also confirm that the same music from the NAS is played at 44.1kHz on my Logitech squeezebox (they're a mix of .wma and .mp3 files).
Can you please advise whether the TV is designed this way or if there's a setting I can change?

140.46 is already out for the higher models... so it only takes some days until it arrives for 7K.
