bdp 5000 computer problem
I cannot access the computer function . When i go to press the computer button so that i can see my monitor on the tv, it says that it recognises my PC but whne i press the OK button it goes back to the start again-meaning, it goes back to "folders or search PC" , it is recognising my internet connection.

Hi panamark,
do you refer to the "Browse PC" feature? So did you setup the DLNA properly? What Media Server is running on your PC? Can you please give more details?

HI Andrea,
Thaks for your reply. Its the browse PC function. (my blue ray is bdp5200 not 5000 as i said before). when i open browse pc it shows a folder which is empty, when i click on it again it says serve, and says Marks PC which is from my router, it is all connected to my router via wireless without problems. Then when i go to click on marks pc to try to open it it just goes back to a folder again, in other words it keeps taking me back to the start..i have tried to configure it again but when i do this the screen freezes and i have to turn off the player. not sure what u mean by the DNLA setup?

Hi,
with DLNA setup I refer to the configuration of the Media Server software on your PC in order to share files with the BDP. The most common sw is Windows Media Player, but in my opinion there are some other that work better (ie: Twonky Media).
So you should enable the file sharing with the BDP, and this is a setting that has to be done in the PC.
If you don't do so, then the PC will not allows the BDP top enter and browse "its" contents.
I suggest to download the trial version of Twonky Media and if you like it after 30 days you can buy the license.
In Windows Media Player you have to do the same, I simply proefer Twonky also because I'm a linux user

No you don't bother, it's fine
When I say in your PC, it means this is a setup that you do in the Media Server sw (WMP or Twonky or any other...) and not on the BDP. When the file sharing setup is done then you will be able to see and browse the shared contents from the "browse PC" menu of your BDP.
But the "job" has to be done in the PC first.
