[Videociety] Scaling/Aspect Ratio Problem during first usage

Hi Philips,

I want to report a scaling problem...

• Videociety App, Germany
• 58PFL9955H/12, firmware 140.44

Problem description:

• Starting TV
• Starting Net TV
• Starting Videociety App
• Chose a trailer
• Watch trailer => scaling/aspect ratio is not right

Workaround:

• I can fix the wrong scaling/aspect ratio by setting the TV to "unscaled" and then back to any other format I want.

Some more intel:

• only happens once (first time of watching something in Videociety)
• after applying the workaround the scaling is correct if one try to watch a second trailer

Can somebody confirm this?

Scaling settings (Picture format) are functional in Net TV.
Especially on your 21:9 TV it is good to check it for the best viewing experience.
What you describe depends on your default scaling settings.
When you choose the picture format “auto fill”, it will correct it selves automatically.

Hi Mark,

that's the problem. I always use "Auto Zoom". But when I start a trailer (as described above), the aspect ratio is totally wrong. I need to set to "unscaled" for 1 sec and after that again to "auto zoom". Only after that procedure, i have my ultimate experience in correct aspect ratio.

some additional words: Sometimes the video appears at the position of the Net TV PIP windows...
