Digital output on 40pfl9705h/12

I connected the digital coaxial output of my TV with the digital input of my CD player (and then of course CD player connected to amplifier, amplifier to speakers). However, it depends on the channel whether I get sound through my hifi system or not. has this anything to do with the type of coding (e.g. bitrate) a channel is using? Is there something I can do about this in the set-up of my TV? If not, can I use analog output via RCA connectors?

Hi,

you can change between standard and advance in the channel setting, if stereo or dolby digital is chosen by the TV... However, I think your CD player will only support 44.1 Khz (as CDs are in this quality).

Analog: you can use the headphone out - the loudness can be controlled seperately in the menu...

Thank you for your response. My CD player does support other frequencies as well. Apart from the obvious 44.1 KHz, also 32, 48, 88.2 and 96 KHz. D/A converter is 24 bits.
