Unit keeps randomly freezing - latest firmware installed

hi all

just purchased a new one of these and it has the latest firmware installed

unit randomly freezes on internet radio and media library

hdd wont play just updating0% but did play an hour earlier

holding off button leaves bye on the screen never turns off requires power off to resolve

cd player is slow to play cds as well

overall not happy with the unit - is there a new firmware due before i return for a refund?

i have tried 5 factory resets so far.

Hi

a) How much is the content loaded on yr HDD? If it is full, it will take about 4 to 5 hrs to complete database creation. When database creation is ongoing, the unit works slow. But once done, it is back to normal. Maybe leave it one night in active standby with database creation ongoing.

b) Do not do factory rest again seems that is not the issue.

c) Pls try wired connection to your router & see whether the unit behaves differently. If it works better, it means there is some issue with the wifi part in your hardware.

Maybe check this first before return?

hdd only has 10 tracks on it

once the unit freezes in media library or internet library a power off causes the updating 0% to appear

only a factory reset cures this !

unit has very unstable firmware even moving too far down upnp server list causes the circle to appear and unit freezes

Did you try WIRED connection instead of wireless connection to the router?

thanks for the reply

similar problems on wired along with a new one

if internet radio is used no sound on aux or cd until totally powered off and restarted

unit or firmware not fit for purpose

very unhappy returning for a refund
