No sound and no television frame

Hi @ all,

i have some problems with my new Philips 26PFL3606H/12 TV. I installed it yesterday and searched all channels over my cabel access. Everything went fine and I started to zap, but suddenly there was no sound and picture anymore. I dont know what it is, but the menu is still working fine, although nothing happens, neither digital nor analog.
In the menu information it says that the signal strength is very weak ("0"), but when I connect the cable with the old television it is working fine. Also I could connect my old Playstation 2 to the TV and it had a picture, but no sound.

What could be wrong with it?
Is there maybe an option to reset and start a new station scan?

Hello berney,

I'd suggest the following ordered steps:

a) if the new TV is not detecting any signal (and the old one works fine), try to bring your new TV back to the shop and ask for a replacement. The TV could be defective with the tuner.

b) if the TV in substitution shows the same issues, I'd call an antenna's technician that could evaluate your signal's quality with a TV field detector.

First step a, eventually b.
