    streaming media support

    Hi,

I have just recently bought a NP3300 and it works well with a great sound with respect to the compact size.

I am curious about supported formats for media streaming. The user manual lists wma and aac as supported formats. However, when I try to play any of these formats it fails, both for internet radio and upnp streaming. mp3 format works fine in both cases, so it is not a general problem.

I can add in that I also have a MCi900 system. I have tried the exact same internet radio stations and upnp media, and it succeeds where the np3300 fails in the aac and wma cases.

My firmware version is VH4.50S, which I suppose is the latest at the time of writing?

    Hi again,

As no one so far has answered my question, I can answer it myself. Today a firmware update was available for the NP3300, and it seems that it solved my problems related to the media formats. At least WMA format on internet radio stations is now working. I will do a thorough test later on.

Is there a comment on this from the Philips team?
