Twonky server no longer works! What can I use instead?
Hello everyone,
I used the Twonky server to stream content from my MacBook to my Philips television, yet when I tried to stream today I noticed that Twonky server no longer works and was discontinued by the 2nd of april or 4th of february, depending on the date notation.
Which alternative can I use to stream content, especially movies, to my Philips television? (Series 6000, 2012).
Thank you in advance!

I use an Apple TV. Works fine, also for YouTube and your music.

That may be so, but I would have to buy an Apple TV while Twonky, the solution Philips offered, was completely free and worked very well. Now that the service has been discontinued by Twonky, I wondered what kind of replacing free service Philips provides. Because I am rather disappointed that I can't stream video's anymore with the ease it used to be possibly with Twonky.

I agree! But I'm not optimistic.
You can also use the app Air Video (2 à 3 euro) on an iPod or iPad and Air Video Server on your computer.
