    Hi,

On the Smart-TV main menu ... nothing about VideoFutur !
as Videocity neither Allo-Cine as promise on the Net :
    http://www.audiovideohd.fr/actualite...e-Philips.html
    http://www.allocine.fr/service/tv/philips/
    http://www.videofutur.fr/viewCompatiblePhilips.do

Maybe I miss some setting ?
I can acces to some on the SmartTV service as weather iConcert ...
    I don't set "control parental".

So, is the problem from ... me or SmartTV ???

I had the videofutur app. I chose and bought my tv to access the VOD service of videofutur as i am subscribing to their service. It didnt work at first, a message from videofutur specified it was not running. I tried again a few weeks ago. I got a message from philips smart tv saying the app had to be removed. Since then it has disappeared and the smart tv engine cannot find it.

the support service from videofutur tells me it should work... But the app does not come back on my smart tv...
It works however from my computer.

So i would say the problem comes from Philips smart tv service which decided to suppress it. Or from me and I probably cant find the solution the way i use the service. My guess is that philips/videofutur have put an end to the partnership.

Does anyone have a clue about this? Philips support?

    ou est-ce un abonnement ?

So, the TV had no this app. Your PC has it.
Did you connect (Ethernet cable) TV to PC and can you play movies from PC to TV ?
In case yes ... How you did it ?

    Bonjour,

I think both as you pay as you rent. You also get free films on VOD (just a few and some kind of odd old films - La boum for instance !) when you are subscribing to the videofutur service. I pay 7 € a month and I can get as many DVDs as I want in the videofutur shops from 95% of their catalog. I live nearby one of their shops. It is very handy. It works for France only I suppose.

So, the TV had no this app. Your PC has it.
Did you connect (Ethernet cable) TV to PC and can you play movies from PC to TV ?
In case yes ... How you did it ?
I use my windows pc. The pc sends the image to the TV using a VGA cable. I quickly tried and it worked, but the image was not displayed full screen.
I also tried to access the videofutur VOD service directly through a Freebox app but it does not exist at least for the moment. I also tried running the service throught the internet access of the smart tv service, using the web browser. It does not work and I get a message saying my system is not compatible (only mac or pc).

I chose the tv to access the videofutur app. I am still trying to find a way. Is their any phone number for the philips support? Does anyone know if the app is still available? Arpege900, are you sure the app is currently available?

But as you (may be) know, the VideoFutur is «avalaible» only in France

    So, @ Arpege900
The application is shown on the app page.
Yes. But if I «click» on it ... look at the screen shot :

The video futur app back on my 2011 smart tv

    Hello,
a quick word to let you know that the app is back now on my 2011 philips smart tv.
    It seems to run smoothly.
I could not access though to the film I rented. I had a technical problem it keep on loading but the movie did not show.
I will have a second test when i have more time and will let you know.
It seems the service is also opened to non subscribers.
Lovely movie catalog from video futur.

It all works perfectly for me. I can rent VOD on the videofutur app via the Philips net tv service on my 2011 screen.
I did not have to delete the previous app as it already had disappeared. I went to the app store, in the search section and downloaded the app. Since then, no problem.

    Hello,

Used to rent video through Video Futur V1. Waited for the new version since a while. But unlucky, my TV is a 2010 version and it seems that this app is not compatible : video futur app v2 is not listed in the store displayed in my TV !

    Regards
