Continuously IP data-connection to the internet radio station in standby mode
Dears,
Since a couple of month I'm the owner of a MCI730. Besides all the already mentioned annoying buffering issue in other threads I realized that the MCI730 does not close the IP-connection (WiFi) to the internet-radio streaming server when the device is in standby-mode.
That means that a MCI730 consumes at least 1.3 GByte per day connected to the last internet-radio station e.g. with 128Kbit/sec bitrate even when the device is in standby/sleeping mode.
That's a totally waste of bandwidth. This behaviour keeps the device up functioning and consuming senseless energy. That's definitely not "green".
I hope this is a bug and not a hidden feature and gets fixed within the next firmware upgrade !
Best regards
