Service experience with 42PFL9732D/10 - very good!
Hi! Here's something good about the Philips TV business I think is worth sharing: I just picked up our TV 42PFL9732D/10 (bought in early 2008 as one of the top models, but now almost 4 years old) from the service company (Löschmann & Claßen in Aachen). Both inverter circuits (these are the drivers for the backlight CCFLs) were replaced
FREE OF CHARGE!
Philips paid for it on request on pure goodwill - apparently they also thought, their top-models should last a bit longer ;-) Repair was completed just in time before Christmas within 9 business days.
In total: A very good customer experience - thank you!

Well, my service company submitted a goodwill/obligingness request to Philips prior to the repair - did yours do the same?
How old is yours?
