NetTV Opera web browser issue
I want to report an issue I encountered with NetTV's Opera web browser on my 52PFL9606 running the latest FW 000.014.093.000.
When trying to access URL of the following type www.xxxx.com/~yyyy/zzzz/ the browser does nothing. I press "go" screen button but browser does not react in anyway. If I try to access the same URL www.xxxx.com, but without "~yyyy/zzzz/" there is no problem. There is no error message or any kind of hint what is going on. Any ideas?
PS. I couldn't fint a relevant topic to post this issue, so if moderators find a proper place for it it will be good to move it.

I'm developing applications for NetTV and once couldn't get a page to load.
It occured, that before visiting any webpage, device asks philips servers for permission.
I couldn't make my device visit a page hosted on my machine (it wouldn't accept IP address as URL).
As far as I can remember there was also a problem with some characters in URL, but this one I'm not 100% sure.
Maybe your problem has something to do with this "feature"?
I know I didn't answer your question directly, but hope I have pointed you in a good direction.

@wojteks27
Thank you! It is certainly a hint what might be the problem. I hope somebody from Philips answers, but it looks that is not the purpose of this forum....

@Thomas
Thank you Thomas!
It is good to know that somebody is at least paying attention to what we write here.
Can you please have a look and present the issue described in following threads to Philips support:
http://www.supportforum.philips.com/...-inhomogeneity
http://www.supportforum.philips.com/...-(2011-models)
http://www.supportforum.philips.com/...3249-46pfl9706
This is very annoying defect and it seem to be affecting the TOP models of company. I fully understand that probably that is generic flaw of panels used, but we need to know Philips official opinion!
Thank you for your time here!
Best regards,
Zlatko

@Thomas
Double checked it - not working, the browser does not even try to resolve the domain name. When I press "Go"(arrow on the roght) I am returned back to enter URL line with cursor blinking. I created a video(in which actually is nothing to see), but mp4 is not among the valid file extension for this forum attachments. I don't have Youtube account to share the video.
PS. Can you please comment on the DSE issue that I gave you links to above? If you can not speak about it in public, just say that you can not comment, but give us a sign you are aware of our writings.Last edited by zlatko; 02-01-2012 at 06:15 PM.

I have made some checks - so issue IS with authorisation. I am using basic auth. and TV browser just does not know how to present the authorisation dialog. After I removed user/pass requirements from .htaccess, leaving only IP access list ON I am able to successfully view the web page.
Thank you for your time Thomas!
